By downloading or using Verdant, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Verdant is a plant care application that helps you identify plants, track their health, manage care routines, and receive AI-powered health diagnoses and treatment recommendations. The app is provided by the Developer.
Verdant uses artificial intelligence (Plant.id and Anthropic Claude) to identify plants and generate health diagnoses and treatment plans. This content is generated by AI models and is provided as guidance only.
Important: Verdant is not a substitute for professional horticultural advice. AI diagnoses may be inaccurate. Treatment plans are suggestions based on photo analysis and the care context you provide. Always use your own judgment when caring for your plants. The Developer is not liable for plant loss or damage resulting from following AI-generated recommendations.
Verdant offers a free tier and a premium subscription (Verdant Pro).
Verdant Pro is available as a monthly ($4.99/month) or annual ($34.99/year) subscription with a subscription. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Any price changes will apply to the next billing period after notice is provided.
You retain all rights to the content you create in Verdant — plant data, photos, journal entries, and notes. We do not claim ownership of your content.
By using the health diagnosis and identification features, you grant us a limited, temporary license to transmit your photos to our AI service providers (Plant.id and Anthropic) solely for the purpose of generating results. Photos are not stored on any server after processing.
You agree not to:
We strive to keep Verdant available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. AI features depend on third-party APIs (Plant.id, Anthropic) that may experience downtime. Offline features (journal, care reminders, room management) will continue to work without an internet connection.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Verdant. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of plants, incorrect diagnoses, or missed care reminders.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
You may stop using Verdant at any time by deleting the app. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device until you delete the app.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use of Verdant after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the applicable law in your jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
Your use of Verdant is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
